Lynda.com Becomes LinkedIn Learning

On Thursday, August 22,  Duke University’s Office of Information Technology transitioned from LinkedIn’s popular e-learning site lynda.com to their new platform LinkedIn Learning.  After the upgrade, users should have the same access to their learning history, account information, and certifications. If you have linked to lynda.com tutorials in your course materials, please check and update links, as appropriate.

Key LinkedIn Learning features include:

  • over 13,000 courses covering business, technology, and creative topics (including those tutorials that were already in the lynda.com library)
  • easy-to-use interface
  • a more personalized learning experience powered by the LinkedIn network
  • a new Q&A feature that fosters interactive peer-to-peer and learner-to-instructor learning across LinkedIn’s 590M+ professional community

Access LinkedIn Learning for Duke, see a full overview of key differences between lynda.com and LinkedIn Learning, or view a video tutorial on how to use LinkedIn Learning.

If you have any questions or concerns about this upcoming transition, email: oit-training@duke.edu.
